Past, Present and Future Must be Balanced
You can worry about how much you miss your deceased parent or let it go and enjoy sipping on orange juice in your hand.
You can stress out waiting to be called in for your job interview or you can think about your next move if they don’t hire you.
You can freak out about how your kid will be accepted by other kids at the new school or you can enjoy telling a story about the fire works at the beach last summer.
 Â
We have to find that balance inside of ourselves that allows us to enjoy all facets of life. If we are always in the present moment we can’t ever plan for our future. The idea is to stay in the moment of wherever we are - whether it be telling a story from five years ago or sipping on the orange juice. Be there – fully present – enjoying all the moment has to give.
 Â
If you need to stress out about a bad situation then do it, but don’t dwell in those feelings. Let them sink in, then release them by writing a little list of what is still good about your present situation. Just five things like:
- The coffee that I make each morning tastes good.
- My best friend is supportive.
- My children are healthy.
- I had a cool conversation with a lady in the grocery store.
- My shampoo smells terrific.
