Your Dog having a Seizure

My father and I played catch with a baseball and our dog, Casey, used to love to chase after our errant throws. Casey was worn out and laying off to the side in the shade of a bush. My dad threw lots of grounders, so I could practice being a short stop. He threw the ball and Casey popped up and chased after the baseball. It took a bad hop and hit her in the head. She fell then rolled and her body was twitching uncontrollably. I held her in my arms; she was a small dog, only fifteen pounds. Once she stopped shaking I stopped crying. It wasn’t until now that I could enjoy that moment for the pain that it was. Just being able to be there and help her recover was worth it.
