Five Weird Tips for Great Meetings
I’ve just read a blog called “Five weeeeeeeeird tips for great meetings.†And I think every manager can get some good ideas to spruce up the excitement and make a meeting fun.
1: Open the meeting with a positive round
Many times we start off with complaining about everything that we hate instead of enjoying all the good things about the people we work with.
2: Interrupt the meeting regularly
When you interrupt a meeting and take breaks to clear the mind it does wonders for people’s communication skills.
3: Lose the table
I’ve never had a company meeting without a table, but I would love to try it.
4: Get the body in there
I am a big advocate of not staying seated for too long. It only makes us tired and grumpy.
5: Use strategically placed silence
I’m not sure how well this would go in my company and I don’t think it would work because people would get too uncomfortable. But I would love to try it, and who knows – it might work.
There are many great tips in this blog that can help anyone run a more exciting and prosperous meeting. Isn’t that the point? To accomplish goals, instead of wasting time.
